Take action now and ask your Representative to VOTE NO on HB7089!

Florida needs to regulate e-cigarettes as tobacco products and not acquiesce to the industry’s tactics. House Bill 7089 will expressly exempt non-nicotine and “incidental nicotine” products from being regulated. It is bad public health policy, not to mention a costly administrative burden for the state to have to verify the nicotine content of products and set-up a new, unfunded regulatory process.

NYC: Tell Speaker Johnson to allow City Council to vote on the bill cracking down on menthol cigarettes

Menthol cigarettes are easier to start smoking and harder to quit. They also mask the harsh taste of tobacco, making them more appealing to kids. That’s why more than half of all youth smokers ages 12-17 use menthol cigarettes, compared to less than 1/3 of smokers ages 35 and older. Menthol use is even higher among African American youth: 70% smoke menthol cigarettes.
